When awarded the Merit Cup for Top Academic Girl in Yr 11, Sarah
was highlighted as an impressive student with strong integrity,
commitment and leadership qualities. These qualities and Sarah's
entrepreneurial skills were soundly demonstrated throughout
secondary school and Sarah's aspirations were to capitalise on her
interest in Business Studies by studying it at university.
Her Scholarship Partner Ford New Zealand supported her in this
endeavour. "The team at Ford Motor Company was drawn to Sarah's
confident and outgoing nature, articulate manner and her obvious
desire to succeed" said Peter McDonald, Information Technology
Manager at Ford Motor Company when awarding Sarah a First
Foundation Scholarship.
Sarah graduated from The University of Auckland with conjoint
degrees in Commerce and Arts specialising in Marketing and Finance
in 2010. She then completed a Honours year in Commerce. In 2011
Sarah is spending a year in China as a Resource Development
Coordinator with Beijing Nanbeixing Culture Development. She
returns in 2012 to a graduate job with Deloitte.
