Renee was the top female academic performer in her Yr 11. Her
focus and enthusiasm impressed those around her said her Yr 12
Dean. "She brings her own personality and strong leadership skills
as well as a desire to get the most out of every learning
experience." A young woman with an interest in business, Renee's
ambition was to study for a Commerce degree at University.
When awarding Renee a First Foundation Scholarship Julie Bohneen,
Director of House of Travel said of this Scholar: "When you combine
enthusiasm, high energy levels and a 'can do' attitude with
intelligence you know you're on to a winner. Renee impressed us as
a young woman who will succeed in whatever she decides to put her
mind to. Behind this determination are strong positive values
provided to her through the foundation built by her family. We are

family knowing that she will bring vibrancy to our business." Renee
built a strong portfolio of business experience at the House of
Travel.
Having studied at AUT, Renee graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce
in 2009. She relished the opportunity to travel to the Netherlands
on an academic exchange in 2008. She is currently enjoying her job
with sizeable advertising and media company DraftFCB in Auckland,
NZ.
