In his Yr 11 Nishaal achieved the highest number of credits in
his school for NCEA Level 1. The Head of Faculty at De Salle
College at the time said, "Nishaal seeks not just to learn the
facts but to develop a real understanding of his subject. He
involves himself in a wide range of activities and through these he
has developed into a well rounded individual." In his Yr 12
Nishaal was awarded the De le Salle Quest for Excellence Gold
Award.
During his Scholarship, Nishaal proved himself as a valuable member
of ASB. He completed his Scholarship in 2010, but has maintained
continuing relationships with both ASB and his mentor Paul Chapman.
Reflecting on his partnership with ASB, Nishaal says "I am very
pleased and extremely grateful to have my foot in the door at such
a bank at such a young age." Nishaal currently works at the Sylvia
Park Branch of ASB.
With particular interests in Science and Commerce, Nishaal studied
conjoint degrees in Commerce majoring in Accounting, and
Science. He graduated in 2011 from The University of Auckland
but has retained a position as a graduate tutor in Economics.
