This all round talented young man also has strong people skills
and natural leadership abilities. Despite this, when talking about
his position as Rangiora's Deputy Head Boy his humility shines
through: "I am very privileged to be trusted with such a role."
Nicholas won a Future Leadership Scholarship in 2009 and in the
same year was awarded Top Yr 11 Scholar.
Regarded as responsible and well balanced, Nicholas has shown
skill in managing involvement in a diverse selection of activities
ranging from Stage Challenge to Choir and fundraising for the Child
Cancer Society. His sporting talent saw him play a key role within
his touch rugby, rugby, cricket and soccer teams. His outlook is
positive and he relied on this attribute particularly when he
volunteered to doing digging and aid relief just after the
Christchurch Earthquake in February 2011.
Looking forwards, he wants to study a Bachelor of Commerce at the
University of Canterbury and become a Chartered Accountant.
"One day I hope to help and support others in financial need," says
Nicholas.
