Anika comes highly recommended from the
Principal of Avondale College who describes her as 'a conscientious
and mature student who consistently achieves top academic results.
She has a positive work ethic and an enthusiastic approach to her
studies.' In 2009, Anika achieved highly in the University of
Cambridge Examinations, with A passes in Biology, Geography and
English Literature.
Anika makes a valuable contribution to the wider life of Avondale
College by participating in the Stage Challenge and Amnesty
International groups. She has also won a role in the 2010 school
production of 'Guys and Dolls.' Outside of school she participates
in the Filipino Girls' sports group and is the Vice Captain of the
basketball team.
Anika's scholarship with A+ Trust will enable her to study
Nursing. Anika has high hopes of specialising in Paediatrics with
the goal of completing her Postgraduate studies in Australia before
returning to New Zealand. Anika's dream is to work at Starship
Hospital.
