A passionate belief in human rights led Ayesha, at a young age,
to be actively involved in causes that help others. While at school
she was a member of the UN Youth Association of New Zealand and
Amnesty NZ. Ayesha's passion combined with her talents for public
speaking and writing made her a strong advocate.
As a First Foundation Scholar, Ayesha worked in a number of
departments at Fonterra which helped her develop a range of diverse
skills. Her initiative, work ethic and engaging personality
built rapport within the company and proved time and time again her
outstanding abilities.
Ayesha spent some of 2010 studying in Glasgow, Scotland where she
completed four Honours level papers - all in International Law.
Ayesha finished her conjoint degrees in Law and Arts in 2010 and in
2011 started a Masters of Professional Studies in International
Relations and Human Rights. Her passion for law already
extends beyond academia and since 2009 Ayesha has volunteered at
Waitakere Law Centre giving free law advice to the community. She
has also been involved in the Equal Justice Project through the
University Law School.
In September 2011 Ayesha accepted a fixed-term, full time role as
OD & Learning Programmes Coordinator with Fonterra and this
will work alongside study for her Masters.
